Authors Note: If I got
to go anywhere in the world to go I would take a weeklong trip to New York
because there are just so many things to see and do.
The
concrete jungle, big apple, the city that never sleeps: New York. If I could pick one place in the world to
travel to it would be New York. This amazing destination has so many activities
to do, and sights to see. There are so many things to see, I wouldn’t even know
where to start! I’d want to go to central park, and see the statue of liberty,
or visit a theme park, or even just walk on the streets of New York, to see all
of the stores lined up, one by one, for miles on end.
If I
had to pick, the first thing I would do in New York upon arrival would to just
go sightseeing. I already said id want to see the Statue of Liberty, but I’d
also want to take a tour of the Empire State building. That would be so cool,
especially to go on the top floor and look out the window, but I’d be really
scared. Then, I would go outside and
stand kind of far away, once far enough, I’d raise my hand up so it looked like
a was holding it, then boom: facebook picture.
Then, after a long day of touring I would go to a place called Joanne’s
for dinner, it’s an Italian restaurant owned by Joe Germanotta (Lady Gaga’s
dad).
The
next thing I’d want to do is have some fun! Not like “Oh that’s cool.” or
“Yeah, very interesting.” Kind of fun, I’d want to go do some amazingly fun
things! Things like going to Sylvan Beach Amusement Park and turning a boring
day into a day filled with fun, games, and rides. Another thing that I think
would be really exciting would be going to Madison Square Garden and seeing an
artist I like perform there. And, it’d be even more exciting if that artist was
Lady Gaga.
The
last thing I would go and do, would probably be just making a day at Central
Park. If I had it my way, I would bring all my friends and could have a huge
picnic there. Then, all day we could just talk, play games, and eat of course.
I think it would be so much fun, just to have all of your friends with you,
while sitting outside listening to a radio and watching other people do their
own thing and then you do yours. Even walking around this huge park would be
cool.
Once
everything was done, I think I’d pack up head off to the airport. There are
probably so many things I missed or didn’t think of doing, but I’m satisfied
with what I picked, besides, I like airplanes so there’s something to look
forward to. So, overall I think my trip
would have been a lot of fun. And even though I’m not sure I’d want to leave
just yet, New York is no Wisconsin.
